Commuters
For city residents, public transit is often the most viable commute option. But, public transit is also a great way to reduce commuting costs and enjoy a stress-free trip to work.
StarMetro is Tallahassee’s public transit system and offers service throughout the city on 35 routes plus 12 additional routes serving the FSU and FAMU campuses. Trip fares are $1.25, but StarMetro offers both weekly and monthly unlimited transit passes for those commuters who use the bus more frequently.
FSU and TCC students don't need to worry about purchasing fares. They are able to ride all city buses at no charge through StarMetro's fare free service.
In addition to StarMetro, each county in the Big Bend region has its own public transit provider. Big Bend Transit and Jackson County Transit (J-Trans) operate fixed route transit service in Quincy and Marianna, respectively.
Below you can find contact information for the various public transit services provided throughout the region.
